JANUARY TBR

(Really late, but anyway) This year I've decided to put all the books I want to read in a jar and just pick out the books at the beginning of every month. This way, I'll actually read the books that I pick out. I have commitment issues in reading ad this is just the right way for me. Try it yourself sometime.

So here are the books I'll be reading. And let me tell you, I was practically over the moon because I might have predicted that these were the books that I'll pick out. I'm psychic.

Shadow and Bone - Leigh Bardugo
Siege and Storm - Leigh Bardugo
Ruin and Rising - Leigh Bardugo
Love Letters to the Dead - Ava Dellaira
The Young Elites - Marie Lu

This is going to be a slow reading month because I'm joining a literary musical contest this month but I'll still be updating this blog. I'll try not to be so inactive. It's a new year, and a new year for new commitments. ilysm x

DECEMBER WRAP UP

I know it's quite late and I'm sorry but here are the books I've read for December and my holidays!

Blood of Olympus - Rick Riordan
Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Maas
Crown of Midnight - Sarah J. Maas
Heir of Fire - Sarah J. Maas
The Jewel - Amy Ewing

I'm no good in promises but I will post a Throne of Glass book series review this year. And you'll be sure to see a lot of ramblings about book finales in my next Let's Talk. Go read these books, they might not perk you up for the holidays, but it did complete mine. ilysm x

TOP 10 FAVORITE BOOKS OF 2014

I'm so sorry for the long term absence during the holidays. I cooped up with blankets and books for far way too long now. So here's a post for you!

2014 was year of new books and here are my favourites!

1. Anna and The French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins
Do not let the title fool you, this is a book I never wanted to put down. Go read it and check my review.

2. Isla and The Happily Ever After- Stephanie Perkins
This is one of the books I've read in less than 24 hours and I regret nothing! Stephanie Perkins never ceases to amaze us all!

3. Love Rosie // Where Rainbows End - Cecilia Ahern
This was so heart warming and so funny at the same time. I was covered in my tears most of the time because the book spoke so truky. Go read it and check my review. Cry and laugh along with me!

4. Throne of Glass Series - Sarah J. Maas
I have no words for this series. Literally none because I can't put how amazing this is into words. But what I have to say is that I need the fourth book now. I've read the series last October and read it again just this December because the nostalgia was killing me. It's completely ethereal, go read it!

5. Vampire Academy Series - Richelle Mead
I read the entire 6 book series in a month and that just shows how amazing it was. Don't let the title or the book covers deceive you, it's a literary masterpiece. I know I might have promised that I'll post a review on this, but I might really soon when I reread the series this year.

6. Bloodlines Series - Richelle Mead
A continuation to the Vampire Academy Series. This was just as amazing as Mead's first book series. More tears were shed and laughter was evident. I can't wait for the finale anymore. Hold me because I know I'll cry too much.

7. The Jewel - Amy Ewing
I never would have thought to read this book but it was one hell of anew adventure for me. Let me just say how much I love those men in books who act like they don't care but are actually really cute puppies on the inside. Let me cry for a while.

8. The Maze Runner Series - James Dashner
Very thrilling and exciting at every page turn. I read this because I knew it was going to be a movie and Dylan O'Brien was in it so why not? But really, this book was an entire new take on an apocalyptic setting.

9.  A Song of Ice and Fire Series - George R. R. Martin
This series bought me more pain that any other series I have read. Just when you think it's going to be alright, bam! That characters dead! I'm not going to divulge any spoilers from this series just go read it and cry with me. and take me to Westeros as well.

10. Ignite Me - Tahereh Mafi
The finale to to Mafi's trilogy was amzing! My otp was good and well but of course tears were shed. I read this last April and frankly, I couldn't remember much of it anymore, but I do remember being in a hangover that quite severe form this series. Go read it!

I'm ready for 2015. Throw your books at me! Okay, not literally. But if you have some books to recommend, feel free to comment down below. ilysm x

DECEMBER TBR

I honestly don't have a strict TBR this month. I'm not sure if it's because it's the holidays, but I'm not feeling like I have to reach any specific goal for this month. I've already outdone myself especially for the month of October. Though I am reading the following;

The Blood of Olympus
Throne of Glass
Crown of Midnight
Heir of Fire

And yes, I know that I've already read the throne of Glass series but I can't help it, every time I think of Celaena Sardothien, I feel nostalgic. No regrets, though! I'll be sure to sure to post my end of the year 2014 Wrap Up! (I'm really hoping I read more than 50 books) Happy Holidays! x

LET'S TALK: AVOIDING SPOILERS CRASH COURSE

This is a very detailed crash course on how to avoid spoilers like a pro!

1. READ THE BOOK/SERIES AS FAST AS YOU HUMANELY CAN
Yes, I'm serious. If you have to spend an entire weekend to do so, you shall. Not reading will often result to a spoiler from some friends or random strangers talking about said book/series. Which leads to pro tip number two.

2. AVOID PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SPOIL YOU

So in other words, you stay away from other readers of the book and continue on with pro tip number one. You'll never know what people can get out of their mouths accidentally.

3. DON'T GO CARRYING AROUND THE BOOK YOU'VE BEEN WAITING MONTHS FOR
Do not carry around books, this will attract attention from would-be spoiling people. They tend to talk when your back is turned but you'd still be close enough to hear the spoilers, so don't. Keep it in your bag and continue on with pro tip number one

4. YOU DO NOT, YOU CANNOT, AND YOU WILL NOT GO ON TUMBLR.
Tumblr is the powerhouse of all spoilers, when it's posted it gets reblogged and then some, for the whole entire world to see. Even if it's just a measly quote, you'd still end up on the floor crying because you've been spoiled.

Follow these tips for a safe, non-spoiled reading time that you will sure to enjoy. x

LET'S TALK: PLACES BOOKS MADE ME WANT TO VISIT

After reading Stephanie Perkins' books, I've really wanted to go to Paris and of course my dream city, Manhattan. I want to experience life to the fullest maybe find my own Etienne in a library or a cafe to have a chat with, maybe my own Cricket who would be my best friend, and Josh. The thought of having my own Josh in Manhattan, wow. A girl can dream.

Maybe when I'm of age, I can go to a pub in Ireland and meet my Alex. I've always wanted to go to the the land of the Irish because first, Celtic mythology and of course, it's a quaint country that I'd pack my bags for to go to right now.

Las Vegas. Okay I've read a lot of books with the Vegas setting but I never get tired of it. Imagine, a night there would be amazing. Maybe I'll be jumping casino to casino while getting marriend to my own Adrian Ivashkov.

Take me to Russia, PLEASE. I've been learning how to read the language for a couple of weeks a few months ago. Take me there to my Dimitri Belikov who's sitting at the near back of a church, probably. In his free time, maybe he's off fighting some rogue Strigoi. Oh the architecture there is amazing. So what do you say? let's go, already!

Unethical and impossible, I know but can I please go to Westeros? Okay it might be a fantasy place but still. I know it's dangerous beyond my senses but I guess I'll have my wit to keep me alive. I really want to go there hand in hand with Ned Stark excuse while I go cry myself to death or maybe atop a horse, who would know? Just take me there, please.

Other places that would require no explanation would be the following:
  • Camp Half-Blood
  • Narnia
  • Hogwarts
  • Adarlan
  • Olympus
  • Asgard

INTRODUCING: LET'S TALK

Let's Talk is going to be a new segment in this blog. I just really need a place to put out my rants and stuff I need to get out of my chest. this segment doesn't necessarily have a schedule. And yes, i will use this segment often. I already have some topics laid out which are;

  • Avoiding Spoilers
  • Places Books Made Me Want to Visit
  • Sinking Ships (if you're in a fandom you'd understand)
  • OTPs

I'm quote excited for this because here we can talk to each other. Leave a comment below and I'll reply to as many as possible in the next update. I'd really like to meet new people with the same interests as I do. ilysm x
