HOW TO DEAL WITH A BOOK HANGOVER
Once you're in this state, try not to do anything that will inflict emotional pain towards you. The easiest way to deal with a book hangover is to just embrace it. In time, you'll learn to revel in its emptiness and soon find yourself. It is in this stage that you can finally contemplate over the end of a journey well traveled.
The hard thing is that, you don't easily get out of this state because no matter how hard you force yourself out from it, it seems to drag you back with twice the force. Have you experienced this? If yes, then just stay where you are. To deal with a book hangover is an emotional and spiritual venture that you can only finish if you accept what needs be.
I know it's hard being in a book hangover, I've experienced this a lot of time s firsthand, and a lot of times, I don't necessarily know what to do, but one thing that I actually do is that I just meditate for a while about how the amazing characters of the book have made me a different person, and how it can inspire to be a better person. And no, it doesn't actually help your mood to shame the author because you wanted this ending, or that ending. This phase is where you finally learn to accept and yes, it is a slow and gradual process but in the end, you'll live and so will the fire in your heart for the things you love most dear.
